Nutty-chocolate Irish cream cake ( no bake )

For this layered rich chocolaty dessert we will need : Lady fingers , hazelnut cream wafers ( chopped coarsely ) ; Irish cream liqueur , semi sweet Baker’s chocolate , hazelnut milk chocolate bar ( both chocolates chopped to almost pea size but some left to shave for topping ) , Turkish delight ( i love the pistachio flavor for this but optional flavor ) chopped into small pieces , roasted crushed walnuts , about 500 g unsalted butter at room temp . , icing sugar , vanilla extract.

To start , choose a deeper dish you wish to shape it in and lay plastic wrap inside to quite hang over the sides as to be able to gather over the top to cover when done and it will make it easy to pull out of the dish for serving .

In a large bowl start whisking with a hand mixer the soft butter until creamy , start adding gradually icing sugar until sweet enough to your taste ( shouldn’t be too sweet with all that follows 🙂 ; pour gradually about 1 cup of Irish cream liqueur ( or replace with a coffee liqueur if preferred ) and add a tbsp. of vanilla extract ; whisk well together .

Part of the buttercream gets then mixed with the chopped up semi bitter chocolate and the rest of the cream mixed up with the chopped walnuts and hazelnut chocolate .

Start layering the cake in the chosen / plastic layered dish : first sprinkle about 2 cups chopped of Turkish delight , then about 1 cup of chopped walnuts and some semi sweet chocolate ; next , sprinkle a layer of chopped wafers and then a nice layer of the Irish cream buttercream ; layer next the lady fingers soaked in Irish cream liqueur and add also a good splash of liqueur over them ; now the walnut cream comes next ; finish all ingredients by repeating the layering finishing with a topping of cream ; sprinkle some shaved chocolate on top and some garnishes of choice for more fun . Let set in the fridge for a few hours , best for the next day ahead . Use the plastic wrap sides to gently pull out of the dish and set on a serving plate .

So rich , so decadent … spoil yourself 🙂
